The Tb Skin Test is administered to determine if someone has developed an immune response to the bacterium that causes tuberculosis (Tb).  A Tb Skin Tests must be read 48-72 hours after the injection.

The California Department of Social Services has stated that anyone working in a Community Care facility is required to have a Tb, or PPD, test within 90 days before hire date, or up to 7 days after and must be re-administered every 2 years.
